Executive summary

A hardware platform, not two devices.

Helm AI is already a commercially available enterprise AI platform. This project develops, certifies and commercialises the dedicated enterprise AI hardware that carries it into physical workspaces.

Project

Helm Edge — Enterprise AI Computing Appliances, with two flagship products: Helm Meet (meeting room) and Helm Dock (executive).

Commercialisation stage

Software mature and revenue-generating. Remaining work is turning it into a manufacturable, certifiable enterprise hardware product.

What the grant funds

Industrial design, hardware engineering, ODM customisation, prototypes, certification, tooling, pilot production and market launch.
Important clarification

No funding is requested for AI software development. The Helm AI platform, its models, orchestration engine and enterprise integrations are already operational and in commercial use. This grant is for productisation and commercial readiness of Malaysian-owned enterprise AI hardware.

Problem statement

Enterprise AI still depends on screens.

Despite rapid advances in AI, adoption inside enterprises remains inconsistent because AI is still accessed through browsers, chatbots and mobile apps. Employees must remember to open it, paste information in, and execute follow-ups by hand.

Meetings generate notes, not execution

Minutes are written, then nothing moves.

Action items are forgotten

Commitments made in the room die outside it.

Managers chase manually

Hours lost every week to follow-up messages.

Executives switch apps constantly

Context fragments across five tools.

AI adoption stays fragmented

Islands of usage, no organisational layer.

Devices stop at audio and video

Conferencing hardware has no intelligence.

Meeting room devices today

Provide audio and video conferencing only. They capture sound; they do not capture accountability.

AI assistants today

Answer questions. Neither category is designed to become an active operational layer inside the enterprise.

Our solution

Helm Edge embeds AI directly into the physical workspace.

Instead of asking users to come to AI through an application, Helm Edge places dedicated enterprise AI appliances where work actually happens — the meeting room and the executive desk.

Meeting Room AI Appliance

Helm Meet

  • Real-time meeting transcription
  • Speaker identification using registered voice profiles
  • AI-generated meeting summaries
  • Automatic extraction of action items
  • Task delegation and automated follow-ups
  • Integration with Helm AI workflows
  • Voice-triggered enterprise commands

Meetings no longer end with minutes. They end with execution.

Executive AI Appliance

Helm Dock

  • Executive AI assistant and voice commands
  • Dashboard and report generation
  • Business analysis on demand
  • Workflow execution and calendar assistance
  • Enterprise search across connected systems
  • Native AI Command integration

Instead of opening multiple applications, executives simply speak to Helm Dock.

Images shown are design-intent renders. Final industrial design will be produced in Phase 1 of the manufacturing roadmap.

Innovation

A new category: Enterprise AI Computing Appliances.

Unlike consumer smart speakers, Helm Edge is purpose-built for enterprise productivity. The innovation lies in combining dedicated enterprise hardware with Helm AI's operational intelligence.

Enterprise-grade voice identification

Registered voice profiles tie every spoken commitment to a named person.

Meeting-to-execution automation

Decisions become tasks, owners and deadlines without human transcription.

AI-powered task delegation

Work is assigned and chased by the platform, not by managers.

Persistent enterprise memory

Context carries across meetings, departments and quarters.

Native enterprise integration

ERP, CRM, HR, finance, email and messaging in one execution layer.

Secure corporate deployment

Designed for deployment inside regulated corporate environments.

Product specifications

Two appliances, one platform

Both devices run embedded Helm OS with OTA firmware updates and connect natively into the Helm AI platform.

Engineering documentation and product vision

Both appliances are already defined at industrial-design level: dimensioned mechanical views, port and I/O arrangement, mounting interface, full specification tables and deployment vision imagery. The grant funds the engineering path from these drawings to certified, manufacturable product.

Hardware plus SaaS

Customers purchase the hardware once and subscribe to Helm AI for ongoing AI processing and workflow automation. Hardware creates the installed base; subscription compounds.

1. Hardware sales

Helm Meet and Helm Dock, sold as a one-time purchase to enterprise customers.

2. Helm AI subscription

Recurring monthly subscription including AI usage credits, workflow automation, AI Command, AI Oracle, AI Matrix, dashboards, reports and voice AI processing.

3. Auto top-up credits

Usage beyond the subscribed package is automatically billed based on actual consumption.

Helm Meet — production (500 units)RM 240 – 320RM 2,499
Helm Dock — estimatedRM 500 – 650RM 2,999

Hardware gross margin at production volume is approximately 80%, before the recurring subscription revenue each device generates.

Financial projections

Three-year outlook, deliberately conservative

Projections assume deployment through the existing Helm AI enterprise sales channel, with hardware driving subscription growth. Average customer takes 2 × Helm Meet and 15 × Helm Dock at an average subscription of RM 5,500 per month.

Year 1
Pilot deployment · commercial launch · reference customers
Helm Meet (100 units × RM 2,499)RM 249,900
Helm Dock (300 units × RM 2,999)RM 899,700
Helm AI subscriptionRM 990,000

Year 2
Scale throughout Malaysia · expand existing customers

Helm Dock (3,000 units)RM 8,997,000
Helm AI subscriptionRM 11,880,000

By Year 3, subscription revenue overtakes hardware revenue — demonstrating a scalable SaaS business with a hardware distribution advantage, rather than a hardware-only company. Hardware gross margin remains at approximately 80% throughout.

A shortened path to revenue

Because the software already exists and already has paying enterprise customers, technology risk is low and the commercialisation timeline is materially shorter than a typical hardware startup.

Phase 1 — Prototype

Industrial design and engineering validation of both appliances.

Phase 2 — Pilot

Deploy with selected enterprise partners, collect feedback, improve hardware.

Phase 3 — Commercial launch

Enterprise sales, system integrator partnerships, government digitalisation programmes, regional expansion.

Why Helm Edge

Helm Edge combines enterprise-grade hardware with Helm AI to transform conversations into completed work. It not only understands what is said, but identifies speakers, generates summaries, delegates tasks, tracks progress, follows up automatically and orchestrates workflows across enterprise systems. This end-to-end execution capability, coupled with dedicated enterprise hardware, creates a differentiated category that extends beyond conferencing devices or standalone AI assistants.
